1. Acceptance of terms
By visiting or using MeasureMate (the "site"), you agree to these terms of use. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the site. That's the whole deal — there's no account to create and nothing to sign.
2. The service
MeasureMate is a free collection of browser-based conversion tools for length, weight, volume, temperature and other measurement families, plus an ingredient-aware cooking converter. Everything runs in your browser; there is no sign-up and no fee. The site is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time without notice.
3. Accuracy disclaimer — please read this one
All results on this site are provided for general information only. While our unit conversion factors use exact international definitions (an inch is exactly 2.54 centimetres, for example), cooking conversions between cups and grams are approximations by nature — ingredient densities shift with brand, humidity and how the cup was filled.
Do not rely on this site for:
- medical or pharmaceutical dosing of any kind;
- structural, civil or mechanical engineering calculations;
- aviation, marine or other navigation;
- legal, regulatory or commercial-trade measurements, such as goods bought or sold by weight, volume or length.
If a measurement affects health, safety, money or the law, always verify it with an authoritative source — a calibrated instrument, an official standards body or a qualified professional.
4. Intellectual property
The text, design, reference tables and code that make up MeasureMate belong to the site. You're welcome to use the site for personal and educational purposes, link to any page, and quote brief excerpts with a credit. You may not scrape the site wholesale, republish its content as-is, or present it as your own work.
5. Advertising
The site displays third-party advertisements to keep the tools free. Advertisers and advertising networks are responsible for the content of their own ads, and an ad appearing here is not an endorsement by MeasureMate. For how advertising cookies are handled, see our privacy policy.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MeasureMate accepts no liability for any loss or damage — direct, indirect or consequential — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its conversions. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8. Contact
Questions about these terms? Get in touch via the contact page — we're happy to clarify anything here.
