Overview
MeasureMate is a simple, static unit-conversion website. Every conversion happens entirely in your browser, using JavaScript that runs on your own device. Nothing you type into the converter — no numbers, no ingredients, no units — is ever sent to a server, stored, or shared. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no logins and no user profiles. We genuinely have no way of knowing what you convert, and we like it that way.
Information we collect
We don't collect any personal information directly. The site has no forms that submit data to us, no analytics scripts of our own, and no databases.
Like almost every website, the hosting provider that serves these pages may keep standard server logs. These typically record the IP address that requested a page, the time of the request, the page requested and the browser type. Such logs are created and held by the hosting provider as part of operating their infrastructure, and are generally used for security and capacity purposes. We do not use them to identify visitors.
Advertising
MeasureMate is free to use and is supported by advertising. Ads on this site are served by third-party advertising partners, such as Google AdSense.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies (including the Google advertising cookie) enables it and its partners to show you ads they believe are more relevant to you.
You can opt out of personalised advertising:
- Visit Google Ads Settings to manage or switch off personalised ads from Google.
- Visit aboutads.info/choices to opt out of personalised advertising from many other third-party vendors at once.
Opting out doesn't remove ads from the site — it just means the ads you see won't be tailored to your browsing history.
You can read more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message before any personalised ads are served, and you can decline or withdraw consent at any time.
Cookies
MeasureMate itself sets no cookies. The converter remembers nothing between visits, and we don't track you across pages.
Our advertising partners may set cookies, as described above. You can also block or delete cookies entirely through your browser's settings; the converter will keep working exactly as before, because it doesn't rely on cookies for anything.
Children
This site is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through this site, please contact us and we'll help sort it out.
Third-party links
Some pages link to external websites — for example, the opt-out pages mentioned above. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for their content or practices. We'd encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we change advertising partners or how the site works. Any changes will be posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top revised to match. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
